Taipei, eclectic city.

Christina and I decided to escape Viennas cold winter for two and a half weeks and spent our Christmas holidays in Taiwan.

Taipeh

To explore Taipei on your own is really fun. And you can go everywhere by metro system. Here some impressions:

Consecration of a new dragon statue at the Bao´an Temple:

Elephant Mountain at night:

A cable car ride into the green hilly outskirts of Taipei, at Maokong:

A very special temple, at the Yihne Cave Trail near Maokong:

Wo wir so herumspaziert sind in Taipeh/Where we strolled around in Taipei:

Confucius Temple, Bao´an Temple, Longshan Temple, Dihua Street, Huashan 1914 Creative Park, Red house area, Wuchang Street, Treasure Hill, Revolver – bar/club, Maokong, Yinghe Cave Trail, Din Tai Fung – dumpling restaurant, Taipei 101, Elephant Mountain and much more.

***

In Taipei you can get everywhere with the superb metro system. Just using the “Easy Card”. That is a prepaid card that you can upload in every convenience store. Useable for a lot of tranportation systems all around the island.
