So weit ich mich zurückerinnern haben mich Flugzeuge immer schon fasziniert. Es hat dann aber doch recht lange gedauert bis ich das erste Mal mit einem mitgeflogen bin. War der Sommer 2000 und ich war 20 Jahre alt. War damals “nur” Partyurlaub in Ibiza. Seit dem bin aber viel herumgekommen, meistens mit dem Flugzeug. Eigentlich mag ich aber kleine Flugzeuge, wo man Wind, Vibrationen und Motor spüren kann, viel lieber. Hab da ein paar großartige Erinnerung: Die zweimotorigen Maschinen beim Inselhopping in Indonesien, ein 10sitzige Cessna nach Key Caulker in Belize und der Flug mit einem originalgetreu nachgebauten offenen Zweisitz Doppeldecker, ein Geschenk meines Vaters zu meinem 30. Geburtstag.
Diesmal in Kroatien, habe ich irgendwo in einem Reiseführer gelesen das es da Rundflüge mit einem Antonow An-2 Doppeldecker geben soll. Das ist, würde ich sagen, ein klassischer russischer Flugzeug-Oldtimer. Am Flugfeld angekommen wurde uns mitgeteilt das die Antonow nicht mehr fliegt, schade. Um ehrlich zu sein der Reiseführer war schon fünf, sechs Jahre alt. Wir bekamen aber einen Flug mit einer 4sitzigen 1971er Cessna angeboten. War schon ein wenig traurig über die vor sich hinrostende Antonow am Ende des Flugfelds, das andere Flugzeug zu besteigen hat mich dann aber wieder aufgeheitert 😉 .
Lichtbedingungen waren nicht gerade optimal für schöne Flugaufnahmen aber mir gings diesmal sowieso eher ums geniessen. Fujica ST 705 mit Fujinon 35mm 1:1.9 Objektiv (das immer mehr zu meinem Allroundarbeitstier wird) auf Lomography 800. Mit Ausnahme der rostigen Antonov die ich mit meiner Rolleiflex auf Portra 400vc eingefangen habe.

As far back as I can remember I was always fascinated by aircrafts. It took pretty long that I first set foot on a plane, it was in summer 2000 and I was 20 years old. It was “just” a party holiday in Ibiza. Since this time I have travelled a lot, mostly by plane. But I especially like the small planes, where you can feel the wind,vibrations and the engine. I remember a couple great of flights: island hopping with a double propeller plane in Indonesia, a 10 seat Cessna to Key Caulker in Belize and a flight with a rebuilt open 2 seat double-decker that was my dads present for my 30th birthday.
This time, during my stay in Croatia, I read about a panoramic flight with a Antonow An-2 double-decker. That is kind of a classic Russian airplane oldtimer. At the airbase we got told that the Antonow is not flying anymore, what a pity. To be honest the travelbook was about five or six years old. They offered us a flight with a 4 seat 1971 Cessna. I felt a bit sorry for the rusty Antonow on the end of the airfield, but going for the other flight made me feel happy again ;).
The light was not the best for great air images but anyway, I did it for enjoyment. Fujica ST 705 with the Fujinon 35mm 1:1.9 (it more and more becomes my allround workhorse lens) on Lomography 800. Exept the rusty Antonow, that is taken with my Rolleiflex on Portra 400 vc.

wie cool ist das denn? mit so einem kleinen teil bin ich noch nie geflogen – das ist sicher ein erlebnis!
War wirklich schön und der Pilot der sonst Fluglehrer dort hat trotz Seitenwind eine Vorzeigelandung hingelegt, als ich ihn das gesagt hab hat er sich gefreut 🙂 .
